Introducing a new person into your family circle is an exciting event but is not without some anxiety, particularly when that relationship comes from mixed cultural backgrounds.

We’ll identify the most ideal match of carer to your family, one with shared aims and expectations. There are two options on how this can occur:
- Pre-matching: we conduct the assessments prior to the arrival of the au pair. This is conducted through profile selection, facilitation of initial communications using teleconferences and email communication. The au pair and family make their selections prior to any travel plans being confirmed. Once agreement of matching and plans is reached the timelines and confirmations are progressed.
- Au pairs arrive and both the families and au pairs have the opportunity to meet selected candidates to progress to final selection. Each family and au pair meet more than one candidate and final matching is made based on feedback, relationships and our experience in matching profiles.
Both options have access to El Viaje’s full range of support services for the life of the relationship.

If suitable we will source the most capable person to become your au pair, assist you welcoming them into your family whilst maintaining maximum family privacy and harmony to achieve equilibrium in the shortest amount of time. We then continue to offer communication, advice and support for both family members and au pairs for the life of your exchange.
There is a plan – a shared vision for goals and expectations for the life of the relationship. El Viaje will assist you and your au pair to gain maximum benefit from the end to end experience. We help to keep the stress of the your family sharing their home with a new person and the au pair arriving in a new country, alone and out of their comfort zone to an absolute minimum through tried and true processes, guidance and mutual respect.
